van Heyningen and Haward has been commissioned to design the first neighbourhood centre, The Rivergate Centre for Barking Riverside Ltd in conjunction with London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. The Rivergate Centre comprises a three form entry Primary school with Nursery, Adult Services and Health provision, a Metropolitan Police Safer Neighbourhoods Team base, a Place of Worship, Community Development Trust Offices, Residential (90 flats) and local Retail units.
