Queen’s Provost Lodge, Queen’s College
About The Project
We are often asked to adapt existing buildings. In this case, we were
commissioned to restore and refurbish one of Oxford's finest Grade II listed
buildings, originally designed by Raymond Erith. Working closely with the
College, we upgraded the facilities by inserting a new kitchen, bathrooms and
cloakroom, as well as improving the insulation and heating in the Provost Lodge.
The carefully conceived Palladian plan of the building was retained, as was the
divide between the public and private areas of the house.
